An associate of Republican Rep. George Santos fretted about the congressman being made into a bobblehead. The private anxiety came to light among pages of text messages released by a House committee. One of the lighter moments in the damning House Ethics Committee report on Santos concerns an associate of Santos' fretting with a congressional staffer over a bobblehead. "If there was a single ounce of ETHICS in the "Ethics committee", they would have not released this biased report," Santos wrote on Twitter. And yes, if you want to, you can still buy a Santos bobblehead from the same company that has made ones depicting Anthony Fauci and Sen. Bernie Sanders sitting at President Joe Biden's inauguration.

Republican Rep. George Santos on Monday denied groping a former prospective staffer in his congressional office, calling the sexual harassment allegation "comical." A spokeswoman for Santos' office referred CNBC to his lawyer, who declined to comment. Santos had asked Myers earlier in the day if he had a profile on the LGBTQ dating app Grindr, sharing that "he, himself had a profile," Myers' letter said. Five days later, Myers wrote, he was beckoned to Santos' office and "asked about my background as a journalist" and matters that "had already been disclosed" in prior discussions with hiring managers. The office of the House Committee on Ethics' Republican majority did not immediately respond to CNBC's request for comment on Myers' letter.

The comment riled the CEO of the Medical Tourism Association, who called it yet another "absurd" statement from the embattled Santos. If you go to the right physicians, clinics or hospitals you are not going to be receiving diluted Botox." "You could receive diluted botox here in the US or receive Botox that isn't even real, or by a doctor here who actually isn't a doctor," he said.

Myers told TPM the remark stunned him, given the accusations Santos faces about his own misconduct. "I trust his judgment more than my own judgment," Santos added.
