SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Golden State Warriors assistant coach Dejan Milojević has been hospitalized in Salt Lake City after suffering a medical emergency on Tuesday night, the team said Wednesday. The seriousness of the situation led the NBA to postpone Wednesday's game between the Warriors and the Utah Jazz. The Warriors did not reveal the nature of the emergency, other than that Milojević was stricken during a private team dinner. The 46-year-old Milojević is in his third season with the Warriors and was part of the group that helped Golden State win the 2022 NBA championship. Milojević spent 14 years as a player and was a three-time MVP of the Adriatic League.

Denver startup Cosmic Aerospace is developing a fully electric plane to reduce air pollution from regional flights. The aim is to build an electric plane that operates without any emissions but that can still fly for just over 600 miles. Alex Teng, a partner at 50 Years, told CNBC his firm invested in Cosmic partly owing to the cofounders' experience in aviation. The fund also liked that Cosmic is tackling a problem that other developers of electric planes and air taxis have not solved yet -- getting beyond the short hop flight. "Electric aviation has always suffered from a range problem," Teng said, "but my average flight is over 500 miles personally.

In the NBA playoffs, players will do anything for an edge. But what about team owners? That question came up almost halfway through Sunday night’s game between the Denver Nuggets and Phoenix Suns. After Phoenix’s Josh Okogie sailed into the courtside seating to chase a loose ball, Denver star Nikola Jokic rushed to collect it, hoping to inbound the ball before Okogie had recovered. When Jokic tried to pry it from a spectator’s hands in Phoenix’s Footprint Center, a comedy of retaliatory gamesmanship ensued.

But by last summer, Ja Morant—the then-22-year-old point guard for the Memphis Grizzlies, gifted with a probing dribble and jet-fueled vertical leap—had unmistakably achieved it. A 20-year-old woman was seriously injured when the parked police patrol car she was detained in was struck by a train in Colorado. A Platteville police officer stopped the woman's car just past a set of railroad tracks and parked the patrol car on the crossing. "Stopping your car on the train tracks, getting out of your car and leaving your car parked on the train tracks with someone inside, if that's not recklessness I don’t know what is," Farrell said. Had it not been a police officer who parked on the train tracks, Farrell said he suspects charges would have already been filed.
