As the founder of Rebag, a designer handbag resale site, I've kept a close eye on the resale value of sought-after luxury goods. That's well above other major designer names — like Chanel, for example, which boasts an average value retention of 87%. Birkins have an average value retention of 96%, while the Kelly averages 108%. For example, the Nigo Keepall Bandoulière bag has a 119% average value retention, while the Louis Vuitton x NBA Ball in Basket Bag has a 147% average value retention. Up 12 percentage points from 2021, the brand's average value retention is 87%, although several bags exceed 100%.

Miami Beach voters in a series of referendums last week derailed three major real-estate projects from top U.S. developers, reflecting a budding backlash against certain new development plans for the city. Property developer Stephen Ross , Related Cos. chairman and owner of the Miami Dolphins, had been planning to replace the historic Deauville Beach Resort on Collins Avenue with a new hotel and development. Starwood Capital Management , led by Chief Executive Barry Sternlicht , and Miami developer Don Peebles Jr. have also been preparing to build new office towers near the ocean.
MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — A once-luxurious Miami Beach hotel that hosted the Beatles and President John F. Kennedy during its 1960s heyday was imploded Sunday after falling into disrepair and abandonment in recent years. The Beatles performed there in 1964, recording six songs for “The Ed Sullivan Show,” drawing an estimated television audience of 70 million people. Miami Beach officials and the family that owned the hotel sparred over millions of dollars in fines for various code violations. City officials say Ross may still be interested in purchasing the lot if an alternate plan can be worked out.
Emily the Criminal Courtesy: John Patton FordIn the new film "Emily the Criminal," the title character, played by actress Aubrey Plaza, is almost always in a state of fear. "I think fear is the great motivator of human beings," said John Patton Ford, 40, the film's screenwriter and director. Even if the plan survives Republican challenges, outstanding student loan debt will still exceed $1 trillion, and every year an additional 5 million Americans borrow for their education. Annie Nova: From the start of the film, Emily is in a really desperate financial situation. 'No other country would tolerate this'AN: Did you research the student loan crisis for the film?
During previous oil booms, Gulf states were seen as squandering their wealth on wasteful and inefficient investments, building sprees and buying weapons, as well as handouts to citizens . Gulf states appear to be working on diversifying. Since the last oil boom that ended in 2014, four of the six Gulf states have introduced value-added tax and the UAE has gone further by starting a corporate income levy . None of the Gulf states have an income tax. Critics counter that it is in the oil exporters' interest to push that narrative, but oil states have pointed to the rise in crude demand that coincided with the removal of Covid-19 restrictions around the world.
