Read previewJonathan Majors' ex-girlfriend has filed a defamation lawsuit against the embattled actor, alleging that his false denial of assaulting her and his depiction of her as a liar has prompted death threats against her. "Now that Majors can no longer physically abuse Grace, he has resorted to very publicly abusing her reputation," Jabbari's lawsuit says. In addition to defamation, Jabbari's lawsuit against Majors alleges assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and malicious prosecution. The lawsuit accuses Majors of pushing Jabbari so hard during a September 2022 incident that her back was bruised. "I'm in love, I'm transitioning, I'm healing, I'm growing [and] I'm getting excited about what's next," Good told People on the red carpet.

Marvel Cinematic Universe actor Jonathan Majors will stand trial on assault charges next month after a New York judge Wednesday denied his motion to dismiss the case. Following the alleged assault, Jabbari, a choreographer, was taken to the hospital for "minor injuries to her head and neck," police said at the time. Majors has denied the claims against him and brought a misdemeanor assault counter-charge against Jabbari, alleging that she attacked him. Jabbari has since been granted a temporary order of protection against Majors, according to Variety. Additionally, Majors' defense team has filed another motion to shield certain sensitive evidence from the public to ensure Majors' right to a fair trial.

Fury of the Gods” and “Fast X.”The latest “Mission: Impossible” film arrived last weekend to solid results, but below what Hollywood had been expecting. “Oppenheimer” is based on the 2005 biography “American Prometheus” by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin. “Both studios went all-in on original films, directed by notable auteurs with an interest in pushing the envelope,” said Paul Dergarabedian, a senior Comscore analyst. “Barbie” is aimed at women, while “Oppenheimer” has the edge with men. One represents what many cinephiles loathe about Hollywood: movies based on toys.

As someone who has spent her career writing about and reporting on women’s rights, including domestic violence, I see them as the exact opposite of exonerating. All acts of intimate partner violence are equally wrong, but they are not equally predictive of greater violence. As long as it’s an institution that emphasizes hypermasculinity and doesn’t fully accept women, it will be an institution where domestic violence remains a problem. And finally, we know that domestic violence victims often blame themselves. And these same sexist stereotypes infuse media coverage and public conversations about partner violence.

What if Rocky Balboa were an arrogant lout? The question opens up dramatic possibilities and adds some unexpected conundrums to “Creed III,” the ninth boxing movie in the universe created 47 years ago in “Rocky.”We probably didn’t need a third “Creed” film—the basic recipe of underdog training hard, rising to the challenge and winning a climactic fight has been done enough times—but in his directorial debut, the franchise’s star Michael B. Jordan proves more than capable of hitting the right beats and telling a straightforward story without getting distracted by cinematic gimmicks, except for a brief fantasy interlude in the third act that feels out of place.
You can stream the "Rocky" movies on services like Prime Video, HBO Max, and Paramount Plus. The sports drama series has grown to feature nine films, including six in the original Rocky Balboa storyline and three spinoffs about Adonis Creed. In the first two "Creed" movies, Adonis sets out to become the heavyweight champion of the world with Rocky's guidance and training. The six original "Rocky" films and the first two "Creed" movies are all available to stream, rent, or purchase online. Where to watch 'Rocky' moviesAll six "Rocky" movies and the first two "Creed" movies are all available to stream, and they're mostly spread across multiple services like Prime Video ($9/month), HBO Max ($10/month), Netflix ($10/month), and Paramount Plus ($5/month).
The Creed series is a Hollywood miracle in many ways. It's a lucrative spinoff of the beloved, decades-old Rocky series, but it has its own modern style and sensibility. Jordan's road to the director's chair was paved by Ryan Coogler, who wrote and directed the first Creed film, as well as Steven Caple Jr., who directed the second. Stallone was not involved with the third Creed film and declined CNBC's request for comment. The first film, 2015's "Creed," followed Adonis, the son of Rocky's longtime rival and later friend, Apollo Creed.

"It was challenging but I never felt more alive," Jordan told Reuters of his directorial debut at the "Creed III" premiere in London on Wednesday. One potential storyline could concern Creed's opponent in "Creed II", Viktor Drago, son of "Rocky IV" character boxer Ivan Drago. Viktor makes an appearance in "Creed III".
DisneyAre the pint-sized heroes of Disney's "Ant-Man and the Wasp in Quantumania" enough to take on the newest — and baddest — villain of the Marvel Cinematic Universe? CNN —Sylvester Stallone will not be reprising his role in “Creed III.”Stallone, who began playing “Rocky” in 1976, said in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter that he doesn’t like where the franchise is headed, so he opted out. It was taken in a direction that is quite different than I would’ve taken it,” Stallone told the publication. I like my heroes getting beat up, but I just don’t want them going into that dark space. I just feel people have enough darkness.”Stallone is still a producer on the film, set for release in March 2023. He will next star in the Paramount+ series “Tulsa King,” playing a mobster released from prison who’s exiled to Oklahoma.
