☆ Looking for Pet Insurance? Some Dog Breeds Will Cost More to Cover.

The most popular dog in the country for the last two years has been the French bulldog, beloved for its batlike ears and deep wrinkles. That may be why “Frenchies” are the second-most-expensive dog breed to insure, behind the Cane Corso, a mastiff, according to Spot Pet Insurance, one of dozens of companies selling pet health insurance. The company recently ranked the costliest breeds of dogs and cats to cover, noting that some purebreds may be more expensive because their genetic makeup makes them susceptible to certain health conditions. The rankings were based on average policy premiums as well as the most costly claim paid for the breed, said Trey Ferro, chief executive of Spot Pet Insurance, which has 330,000 active policies. At the other end, the cheapest breeds to insure were the Chihuahua and the Maltipoo, a Maltese-poodle cross.

More Americans are moving to Tuscany, a part of Italy known for medieval walled cities and wine. Some locals say it's keeping their economy alive, but others are starting to grumble. The influx of Americans, locals said, can be at once a booster of fortunes and an irritating imposition. "A lot of locals say that a place like Montepulciano cannot handle all those tourists because it's a small city," said Tudor, the jeweler. Accidentul a avut loc la data de 9 ianuarie curent. Presa italiană scrie că moldoveanul se afla la volanul unui automobil de model Opel Corso, și se întorcea din Trento, unde își vizitase logodnica. În timp ce se deplasa spre ieșirea de pe autostrada Valsamoggia, îndreptându-se spre Modena, acesta din motive necunoscute a pierdut controlul volanului și s-a izbit într-o bordură de beton, după care s-a răsturnat. În urma impactului, moldoveanul a fost preluat de o ambulanță și transportat la spital, unde din cauza traumelor grave a decedat după câteva ore.Forțele de ordine locale investighează și alte circumstanțe în care s-a produs tragedia.
