New focus groups of skeptical young men planning to vote in this fall’s most critical battleground states illustrate how, for these voters, it’s all about Donald Trump. Polling has shown a significant gender gap in the race, with Trump holding the upper hand among men and Harris with women. Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris debate for the first time during the presidential election campaign on Sept. 10. All but two of the voters leaning toward Harris said abortion will be a big factor in their vote. Asked to describe their generation, many of these young men painted a negative picture.

CNBC flagged posts with the false information to Meta. A company spokesperson said, “Meta has sent them to third-party fact-checkers for further review.”Across the U.S., with 40 days until the Nov. 5 election, state and local officials say they are puzzled by what to expect from Facebook. In 2016, Facebook was hammered by Russian operatives, pushing out false posts about Hillary Clinton to bolster Trump. Given Maricopa County’s high profile during the election season, the state often attracts attention from Facebook users across the country. Two years after an Alabama prisoner was spared when staff members struggled to execute him by lethal injection, officials plan to try again Thursday — using the rare method of nitrogen gas. He filed a federal lawsuit in March seeking to halt his execution, citing the state's past execution failures and concerns that the method of nitrogen hypoxia would add pain and prolong death. "The resolution of this case confirms that Alabama's nitrogen hypoxia system is reliable and humane," Marshall said in a previous statement. Alabama officials have insisted in court filings that nitrogen hypoxia is "painless because it causes unconsciousness in seconds" and death within minutes. "Whether by lethal injection or nitrogen suffocation, the myth of the 'humane execution' is a lie fewer and fewer people believe," Foa said in a statement.

The independent investigative agency is issuing the warning that an actuator attached to the rudder on some 737 NG and 737 MAX airplanes could fail. The warning is the latest black eye for Boeing. Gold, traditionally perceived as a haven, has climbed roughly 30% this year, outperforming the benchmark S&P 500 index’s 20% gain. Fresh consumer confidence data on Tuesday indicated that Americans are feeling pessimistic about the US economy and future of the job market. JPMorgan Chase researchers said in a note on Monday that they expect the yellow metal to continue running toward their 2025 target price of $2,850 an ounce as the Fed brings down rates. Silver, another precious metal that tends to move in tandem with gold, has jumped roughly 34% this year, outperforming the yellow metal. New moves from China to revive its economy also has the potential to lift precious metals, said Rhind.
