Dimension FilmsIn 2011, Craven said that when he started talking to Williamson about going back to Woodsboro, it wasn't for a one-off. "He had an idea for a new trilogy," the director told Movieweb in a 2011 interview. In a 2016 Entertainment Tonight interview, Williamson said he was unsure about another trilogy. "Now without Wes, I feel like you have to sort of answer the questions of how and why, and I don't know how to do it without Wes and I don't know why to do it," he explained. But writers Guy Busick, James Vanderbilt, and directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett found a way to continue the franchise with 2022's "Scream" and 2023's "Scream VI."

In an interview with ComicBook.com last week, the filmmaker threw shade at the visual effects in Marvel movies, comparing them to those in "Avatar: The Way of Water," his long-awaited sequel to the first "Avatar." After a year of Marvel movies and other big-budget tentpoles whose looks didn't impress me, the movie was a breath of fresh air. That same month, a VFX artist who has worked on Marvel movies wrote a scathing essay for Vulture, alleging that Marvel overworks VFX houses and demands last-minute changes. The reality is that the problems with Marvel movies are a reflection of the state of big-budget movies in general. Audiences are already realizing that these premium formats are the best way to see "The Way of Water."
CNN —In the age of reboots, revivals and prequels, Antonio Banderas is sharing thoughts on who would make a great choice to follow in his masked footsteps as the legendary Zorro. The actor, who played the swashbuckling hero in 1998’s “The Mask of Zorro” and sequel “The Legend of Zorro” in 2005, said his “Uncharted” costar Tom Holland would be a perfect fit for the role, in a video interview published Saturday with Comicbook.com. “He’s so energetic and fun,” Banderas said of Holland. “He’s got this spark, too.”The “Zorro” films, which were directed by Martin Campbell, costarred Catherine Zeta-Jones. While the “Zorro” franchise currently has no solid projects in development, Banderas is currently doing press for another sequel, the upcoming DreamWorks animated movie “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.”In that film, Banderas again voices the debonair feline character he originated in the “Shrek” movies, following 2011’s feature-length “Puss in Boots.”
Nov 8 (Reuters) - The highly anticipated sequel to Disney's “Black Panther,” “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” has received glowing reviews from the majority of critics. The film, which arrives in theaters on Friday, scored a 94% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with only five out of 81 critics rating the film as rotten. There is a new Black Panther, and they will figure into the future of this universe. “'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' is by far the best film in phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The sad reality is that the show must go on, and without (Chadwick Boseman), it’s just more of the same.
