Read previewOne sign we're in a crypto revival: Crypto prices are roaring again. Another sign: Crypto companies are advertising on TV again. Crypto.com isn't the only one pushing crypto on TV again. It makes perfect sense to run it side-by-side with ads telling you how fun it would be to bet on the very game you're watching (unless you're an NBA player). All that said, the 2024 crypto revival still seems more like an echo of the last boom than a replay.

There may be a case to bet on technology stocks, even if interest rates remain higher for longer. While conventional wisdom suggests high rates should punish the group, investors still favor the earnings growth offered by megacap tech stocks, according to The ETF Store President Nate Geraci. "Investors are viewing megacap tech as a quality play," he told CNBC's "ETF Edge" on Monday. Even if a U.S. economic slowdown takes hold, Geraci thinks quality tech names can remain in a leadership role. "I think that causes investors to rethink making bets on companies with earnings that are far out into the future."

Then we further culled the list by looking for stocks that also posted at least a 2% move, on average, following that beat. The Viking Holdings Ltd. IPO, which starts trading today on the New York Stock Exchange, will be the biggest IPO of 2024 so far. Viking is only the biggest in a month of standouts. Eighteen IPOs raised a combined $5.3 billion in April, according to Renaissance Capital, the busiest month for IPOs since November 2021. The stock market had a miserable April, with the S & P 500 down 4% and, unsurprisingly, many recent IPOs were down. All of the larger, most recent IPOs remain above their initial offering price.
