REUTERS/Diego VaraSAO PAULO, June 17 (Reuters) - At least 11 people have been killed in Brazil's southern state of Rio Grande do Sul after an extra-tropical cyclone struck the region on Friday, according to the state's authorities. The storm caused torrential rains and helicopter searches are underway in flooded neighborhoods to find 20 others who have gone missing, the government of Rio Grande do Sul said in a press release. As of Friday night, Maquine, a municipality on the eastern coast, had received around a foot of rain, authorities said. We are rescuing people who are stranded, locating missing people and giving all the support to the families," he said.

I've found that work bags often fall into two categories: a utilitarian nylon backpack that's highly functional but not that cute, or a chic leather tote you'd be proud to carry but has no dedicated pockets or shoulder support. I recently discovered the Caraa Studio Tote, and I was blown away by how its design bridged the gap between the two. The sleek nylon exterior would look right at home at the office, and the smart interior organization is just as notable.

Aaron Luo must choose between attending his sons’ fencing contests and his own. “When tournaments overlap, it’s such a dilemma,” says Mr. Luo, who, like his sons, competes at a national level. Mr. Luo, 42, fenced in high school and competed with a club at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He took a 10-year hiatus from the sport to co-found Caraa, a New York-based luxury accessories brand, in 2014. So he dusted off his epee, the largest and heaviest of the three fencing swords.
