Nvidia just formed a bearish technical pattern that is signaling a reversal ahead. The red-hot chipmaker dropped 3.5% on Thursday after temporarily unseating Microsoft as the most valuable public company in the U.S. Thursday's decline marked a "bearish engulfing" pattern that often signals that the prior upward momentum is waning. Others believe the Nvidia bearish engulfing pattern, while ominous, isn't significant enough yet. The confirmation of a bearish engulfing pattern sometimes depends on the size of the candles. "The reversal of the shares was 11 cents away from clearly registering a bearish engulfing pattern.

To the Editor:Re “Willie Mays, Baseball’s Electrifying Player of Power and Grace, Is Dead at 93” (obituary, nytimes.com, June 18):I was 10 when the Giants moved from New York to San Francisco. From the very first day I watched Willie Mays play ball in Seals Stadium, I was hooked. By the time I graduated from high school in 1966, I proudly displayed 15 framed pictures of the Say Hey Kid on my bedroom walls. Today’s stars, like Shohei Ohtani, Mike Trout and Aaron Judge, are truly talented players, but they don’t play baseball the way Willie did. A 24-time All-Star and a two-time M.V.P., the Say Hey Kid was my idol.

☆ It could be time for investors to take some profits on Netflix after earnings, according to the charts

Netflix has recently been crowned the unofficial king of streaming services and it's scheduled to report earnings this evening. The earnings report could be another good one, but the stock technicals are flashing some warning signs for long-term investors. From a fundamental standpoint, NFLX has been anointed 'the one' in the streaming space after delivering on multiple initiatives. Combined that with such strong projected growth rates creating a stretched forward valuation making investors even more cautious. At the current price of $486.50 and an expectation of $15.94 in earnings, that puts NFLX at 30.50 times 2024 earnings.

Kyle Juszczyk remembers the different feel when he took the field for the first time in the playoff rivalry between his San Francisco 49ers and the Green Bay Packers. That rivalry of San Francisco and Green Bay is always a big one. Favre followed with two quick touchdown passes as Green Bay rolled to a 27-17 win. Green Bay won the first playoff matchup 23-10 against Mariucci the following year as the frustration mounted in San Francisco. Kaepernick braved the cold of Green Bay the following year and played without long sleeves or gloves.

They're looking for human remains, hoping to identify victims still missing a month on from the deadly Hamas attack. Be'eri is one of the communities hardest hit by the Hamas gunmen who burst through the Israel-Gaza border on Oct. 7, killing around 1,400 people and taking more than 240 hostage, according to Israeli tallies. Twisted, mangled cars still line the paths of the kibbutz, some houses stand gutted by fire, others are pierced by bullets. So far they have helped identify 10 victims, they say, leaving an estimated 25 people still unaccounted for.

CNN —If you subscribe to the theory that Willie Mays was the greatest baseball player who ever lived, consider “Say Hey, Willie Mays!” additional ammunition for bar arguments, as well as a whole lot of fun. Those interviewed include Mays’ godson, Barry Bonds, and note that Mays played a pivotal role in bringing him to the Giants in 1993.
