Boeing 's CEO Dave Calhoun said that a flaw detected in some of its 737 Max planes won't hinder its supply chain plans for increased production of its bestselling jetliner this year. Boeing is also comfortable holding extra stock of aircraft supplies "so our supply chain can keep its pace," Calhoun added. Boeing is also planning to increase production of the planes, a goal that has proved challenging as the supply chain recovers from the pandemic. Calhoun said Tuesday the company is assessing the impact of the issue on 737 Max deliveries and apologized to customers but didn't provide more detail.

Boeing CEO David Calhoun lost out on a $7 million bonus in 2022 for missing one of his goals. But he still made $22.5 million in 2022. In February, Boeing approved a $5.3 million incentive to encourage Calhoun to stay and lead the company. Despite the delay, Calhoun still received $22.5 million in total compensation for 2022 — this is 6.6% higher than the $21.1 million he received for 2021, per Boeing. Calhoun took over the CEO position at Boeing in January 2020 — two months before the World Health Organization declared the COVID-19 outbreak a global pandemic.

Chief Executive Dave Calhoun will not receive a $7 million bonus due to the company's failure to enter the 777X into service by the end of 2023, Boeing said Friday. Boeing offered the performance-based incentive to Calhoun when he replaced former CEO Dennis Muilenburg in January 2020 and required that Calhoun achieve seven milestones by the end of this year. Calhoun took home $7 million in pay last year, slightly less than his $7.4 million compensation in 2021, Boeing stated in the filing. The terms of the award also called for Calhoun to meet certain milestones on the Boeing-Embraer joint venture, which dissolved in 2020.
