CNN —Israel’s credit rating was downgraded by Fitch Ratings on Monday, after the agency cited concerns around the ongoing war with Hamas and geopolitical risks. Analysts from Fitch said the “the conflict in Gaza could last well into 2025,” and there are risks of the conflict spreading. The agency predicts Israel’s budget deficit to reach 7.8% of its GDP in 2024, compared to 4.1% in 2023. Fitch also expects Israel’s debt-to-GDP to remain above 70% into 2025, whereas the median A rating ratio is 55%. Moody’s Investor Service downgraded Israel’s credit rating from A1 to A2 in February.

New York CNN —CDK Global said “substantially all” of the nearly 15,000 car dealerships that use its software across North America are back online to its core management system, almost two weeks since a cyber incident caused a software blackout. “We are happy to report that we are ahead of the anticipated schedule,” an automated message on CDK’s customer care phone line said. The outage began on Wednesday, June 19, after two cyber incidents halted the company’s systems, which provide software to nearly 15,000 car dealerships across North America, according to CDK. Auto dealerships use CDK’s software to manage everything from scheduling to records. For days, CDK has said it had started restoring its software, but both car buyers and dealers remained at a standstill.

New York CNN —More than 15,000 Amazon contract drivers filed arbitration claims against the e-commerce giant on Tuesday, alleging Amazon classified them as independent contractors instead of employees with minimum wage and overtime rights. Amazon Flex, launched in 2015, allows independent contractors to sign up to deliver Amazon packages. Flex drivers provide Amazon Fresh grocery deliveries or same-day deliveries from the company’s warehouse hubs. Since the drivers are classified as independent contractors, these claims ask for compensation for unpaid wages and overtime, and reimbursement for expenses such as mileage and cell phone usage. Tindall told CNN that the workers filed independent arbitration claims instead of a class action lawsuit because drivers have to sign an agreement that forbids class action.

Disney’s board triumphed by what the company called “a substantial margin” over the nominees put forward by Trian Fund Management and Blackwells Capital at its annual shareholder meeting. Iger didn’t just beat Trian’s Nelson Peltz, but trounced him, according to a person familiar with the vote count. Performers doing the same work at Disney World in Orlando, Florida, are already in a union and have been for years. New York CNN —Paul “Triple H” Levesque, the chief content officer at World Wrestling Entertainment, made his first public comments after Vince McMahon resigned Friday from the board of WWE’s parent company, TKO Group Holdings, in the wake of a former employee’s lawsuit accusing McMahon of sex trafficking, sexual assault and physical abuse. The horrifying allegations against McMahon were brought forward by Janel Grant, who worked at WWE’s headquarters. Grant alleged McMahon promised a job — and later promotions — at WWE in exchange for sex.
