Republican lawmakers are facing intensifying pressure from some longtime allies and financiers over their continued ties with President Trump, as they reckon with taking stands on impeachment and protecting themselves politically to survive the 2022 midterm primaries and elections. From Amazon to Walmart, a lengthening list of blue-chip giants of corporate America — long a bastion of G.O.P. And a handful of Democratic and independent groups are pledging to spend aggressively on advertising against Republican lawmakers who opposed certifying the results, with the first ads already hitting the airwaves in Wisconsin, Missouri, Texas and California. Many veteran Republican donors have long had an uneasy relationship with Mr. Trump. But the president’s incitement of a violent mob that stormed the Capitol a week ago — which swiftly sparked his second impeachment on Wednesday — has deepened the divide.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is one of the most successful entertainers in the world. In 2020, for the second year in a row, Johnson, 48, was the highest-paid actor in the world, according to Forbes. "For many years, my ambition and my drive..to be honest with you....was I didn't want to be evicted anymore," Johnson tells CNBC Make It. When Johnson was 14, his family was evicted from their one-bedroom apartment in Hawaii after his parents struggled to pay the rent. Johnson started lifting weights at the YMCA as a teenager, he said in a 2018 Instagram post.

In March, when the pandemic first began, Johnson launched his tequila brand Teremano , which has sold more than 300,000 9-liter cases in the past nine months. As one of the most successful and influential entertainers in the world, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is often asked what his secrets to success are. For years, Johnson wanted to get into the energy drink space but wanted to wait for the right time. "I can tell you launching a brand like ZOA or Teremano, especially during the pandemic, was very challenging," Johnson says.

The police officers involved in the shooting of Jacob Blake, which touched off days of civil unrest this past summer in Wisconsin, will not face any criminal charges, authorities said Tuesday. Kenosha County District Attorney Michael Graveley told reporters that Shesky and other officers would have had a strong case for self-defense. “We are immensely disappointed in Kenosha District Attorney Michael Gravely’s [sic] decision not to charge the officers involved in this horrific shooting," Crump said in a statement. The district attorney said that video did not capture multiple attempts to arrest Blake prior to the shooting. Investigators were also unable to get a statement from Booker, whose testimony would have been crucial in any prosecution of Sheskey, Graveley said.
