Washington CNN —Donald Trump used to tell his fans that he’d win so much, they’d get tired of winning. The ex-president’s lawyers are already signaling they will seek to get evidence tossed and obstruction counts against the ex-president dismissed. The court released its decision ahead of an even more critical case that will bear more directly on Trump’s criminal entanglements. A second 2020 election case, in Georgia, is also stalled – partly over a controversy and appeals process triggered by a relationship between District Attorney Fani Willis and a prosecutor she appointed. Trump is only three years younger than Biden and often lapses into gibberish in campaign events.

Silicon Valley is known for producing tech businesses that start in garages and turn into massive publicly traded companies ubiquitously known across the globe. From Oracle and Microsoft to Google and Facebook , the public markets are responsible for turning ambitious tech founders into billionaires. But the appeal of the IPO is waning, according to a survey published this week from startup accelerator Techstars. Of the 1,550 entrepreneurs surveyed by Techstars, only 15% said their long-term goal is an IPO. There have been scant few notable tech IPOs in the past two and a half years.

CNN —Americans are staying unemployed for longer, the latest Labor Department data shows, in a reflection of a slowing economy. The number of Americans receiving jobless benefits for multiple weeks climbed to its highest level since November 2021, according to a Department of Labor report released Thursday. While the number of initial claims remains near pre-pandemic levels (but well below historical averages), they’ve moved higher in recent weeks. Weekly jobless claims data, which is looked at as a proxy for layoff activity, can be highly volatile and is frequently revised. Still, the trend as of late has been an upward one, economist Ian Shepherdson wrote in a note to clients Thursday.

And they were everywhere, although, naturally, New York City was a magnet, as it has always been for L.G.B.T.Q.+ people looking for a place in which they can be themselves. New York City was where you lost your soul, and we wanted to be closer to the earth. I wore an eight-and-a-half-foot-tall Statue of Liberty costume to the Easter Parade in New York City, and Kirsten came along with me. By the time I turned 30, I’d been telling people I was older for years, because I’m not the type to bemoan the loss of my youth. Going to New York felt like this moment of emerging to a wider audience, and then I started to travel a lot.

He’s going to be a killer rebounder, monster screener and will consistently establish his position even against some of the stronger NBA players. I’m done doubting Edey, even as an NBA player. As an enormous ballhandler with serious touch and incredible vision as a passer, Topić is clearly an NBA player, even if it doesn’t all translate. Shannon is an elite athlete, but the NBA game requires more nuance, especially if he continues to be an inconsistent shooter. However, I also think he’s more than just a floor spacer on offense in spot-up situations and potentially as an off-ball scorer.

Bitcoin is testing a key level once again after the cryptocurrency fell below $60,000 this week for the first time since May 3. "There's key support at $57,500, the 200-day average, down to $56,500, the May low — and a downside breach would be damaging." It is currently suffering from a lack of near-term catalysts, low demand for bitcoin exchange-traded funds and miners' selling of bitcoin. Crude oil futures rose Wednesday as investors wait for the latest U.S. inventory data for indications of how gasoline demand is holding up as summer. Here are today's energy prices:Traders are waiting for confirmation that demand is firming from the latest U.S. oil and gasoline inventory data, which the Department of Energy will release at 10:30 am. "Thus, convincing stock draws in the US would go a long way to bolster this optimism," Evans said. Analysts are expecting that U.S .oil and gas inventories fell by 2.9 million barrels and 1 million barrels, respectively, last week, according to a Reuters poll. There are fears an Israeli offensive in Lebanon could trigger a direct confrontation with OPEC member Iran, potentially jeopardizing crude oil supplies.

Apple and Alphabet pulled back to the support levels we highlighted and have since rallied strongly. As we can see, $400 served as a key support level three times early this year (the second black horizontal line). Here, we are again applying the polarity principle and using prior resistance as the new support level. We see that $166 has proven a key support level (the top black horizontal line) ever since that post-earnings breakout. Nvidia Potential entry points: $120, $110, and $100 Just below Tuesday's close, around $120, that's a battleground level (the top black horizontal line).

Stock futures hovered near the flatline Tuesday evening after the S&P 500 rebounded from a rough start to the week. S&P 500 futures hovered pulled back 0.03, while Nasdaq 100 futures hovered near the flatline. In Tuesday's regular trading, both the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite ended three days of declines, buoyed by a bounce in Nvidia shares. The artificial intelligence darling's market cap gives it tremendous sway over the S&P 500, and its 154% surge in 2024 has raised concerns over a lack of breadth in this year's rally. "We look for the market to broaden out, but it's not necessarily a binary choice between megacaps and smaller caps, but more bias going forward to looking at these other companies in the S&P 500."

The president who walked haltingly to the podium as the debate began Thursday night was not State of the Union Joe Biden. Instead, his voice was hoarse, he stumbled over facts, and occasionally he seemed to lose his train of thought and became a little incoherent. And yet, despite his terrible delivery, Biden was at least telling voters the truth. Trump said he never got any credit for getting the country out of the Covid-19 pandemic. Of course he didn’t; his policies and lack of action made the pandemic far worse.

MU YTD mountain Micron shares this year Nvidia's seemingly limitless rally stalled in recent sessions as investors took a break from semiconductor stocks. While it isn't a given that CEO Jensen Huang shows up at Nvidia's meeting, any commentary could provide an impetus for the stocks. Meeks noted that recent comments from Huang about AI chips during a trip to Asia spurred a bounce in shares. Comments could boost sentiment and convince investors the chip behemoth has yet to reach peak revenue, he added. Meeks called the selloff in chip stocks overdone, viewing a long-term runway for the AI theme at a reasonable valuation.

Shares of Trump Media soared more than 20% on Monday morning, as the firm majority-owned by former President Donald Trump sought to bounce back from a weekslong plunge that cut the stock price nearly in half. Trump Media, which trades as DJT on the Nasdaq, was trading around $33 a share on much higher than average volume as of 10:50 a.m. Shares of Trump Media sunk even lower last week, after its registration of additional shares was declared effective by the Securities and Exchange Commission. Trump posts almost exclusively on Truth Social, the microblogging social media platform that is Trump Media's sole product to date. Pipeline operator Williams Companies offers a way for investors to play rising natural gas prices as demand grows due to the transition away from coal, according to the research firm Argus. "Our upgrade largely reflects our more bullish stance on natural gas prices," analyst Bill Selesky told clients in a research note Thursday. Demand for natural gas should rise due to hot weather conditions and the transition from coal to gas, while supply is constrained and inventories are low, the analyst said. The pipeline operator has rallied as natural gas prices have bounced back 70% over the past two months. "The power-hungry world we live in is rapidly turning to natural gas to generate this power," Armstrong said.
