At Burning Man, Holmes told the outlet she and her partner Billy Evans torched an effigy for the failed business and, as prosecutors began building their case against her, embarked on six months of traveling the country by RV. "Even though that period was a crisis and Theranos was my life and like my child, I gave everything I had to it," Holmes told The New York Times.
