Stephanie Bollmer moved to Germany from South Korea about 18 months ago.
I was living in South Korea, teaching English, when I met my now-husband in 2021.
In the US and South Korea, I was used to people being friendly toward visitors trying to learn the language.
Coming from the US and South Korea, where same-day or next-day delivery are more common, this has been an adjustment.
But coming from South Korea, where the care is even better than Germany, I recognize it's the care, not Germany, that I'll miss.
