As a federal criminal investigation hangs over former World Wrestling Entertainment CEO Vince McMahon, a new documentary series on Netflix offers a rare look at the man credited with turning professional wrestling into a cultural juggernaut. The series only briefly touches on the lawsuit filed against McMahon in January by former WWE employee Janel Grant, who accused him of sexual abuse and trafficking. Grant, who filed the suit against McMahon this year, did not participate in the documentary, according to her attorney, Ann Callis. McMahon,” the on-screen character that was born during the late 1990s “Attitude Era” of WWE, which was known for pushing into R-rated territory. When McMahon is asked in the fourth episode of the Netflix series what similarities he has with the Mr. McMahon character, he responds, “None whatsoever.” But in the sixth episode, he admits some overlap.

Without a doubt, my mom expected to be free of dependents decades ago. But here I am, 39, unable to save a cent, in need of her financial support. I was otherwise financially independent, worked three jobs, had a good chunk of money saved, and my life was planned out. Not only was I feeling the effects of financial strain from the cost of school, but physical, mental, and ethical exhaustion had taken hold. She loaned me money to pay off that debt and told me I could pay my rent when I received my next student loan payment.

CNN —The US has joined several other countries in airdropping aid into Gaza, which is grappling with a humanitarian crisis. But the de minimis rule also has powerful defenders. At the center of everything good in the world is a bittersweet kernel: All things pass away. The grandest cathedral, the most vibrant painting, a beautiful harmony, a perfect aperitif — none of it will last forever. Yet somehow it’s also what makes life worth living. Farmers say they are not being paid enough, are choked by taxes and green rules and face unfair competition from abroad. French farmers have already won several concessions, including the government dropping plans to gradually reduce subsidies on agricultural diesel. On Wednesday, European Commissioners proposed limiting agricultural imports from Ukraine and greater flexibility on rules on fallow land in a bid to quell protests. In Italy, farmers have blocked traffic with hundreds of tractors near motorway access points near Milan, in Tuscany and elsewhere in recent days. While a deal looks possible on fallow land, the question of talks on a major trade deal with the Mercosur group is more contentious.

PARIS (Reuters) - Protests by French farmers demanding better working and living conditions could intensify and road blockades could target Paris, the head of the country's biggest farming union said on Wednesday. "I am not ruling out any option," Arnaud Rousseau, the head of the FNSEA farming union, said when asked by France 2 TV if the protests could disrupt the Paris region. The protests, heading into a second week after spilling over from neighbouring countries such as Germany, come as campaigning for European Union elections gathers pace. The protests have blocked many important transport networks in southern France this week, and there have been signs that they are spreading.
