Retton, 55, has spent nearly two weeks in an intensive care unit where she was unable to breathe on her own. A fundraising page set up by the family to help cover Retton's hospital bills was approaching $460,000 in donations on Monday. "Thank you Jesus, thank you doctors & nurses, thank you to this loving community of support," Kelley said.

"Prayers have been felt and have been answered," Schrepfer wrote in an Instagram post. "Though it's a lengthy journey, witnessing these improvements is incredibly heartening," wrote Schrepfer.
