CNN —Germany’s busiest airport temporarily suspended flights on Thursday after climate activists glued themselves to the tarmac in a protest against the use of fossil fuels. Climate activist group Letzte Generation, or “Last Generation,” posted videos and photos on X that appeared to show its members on the tarmac. Gas and coal are threatening our existence,” Letzte Generation said on X.CNN has reached out to Frankfurt police for comment. On Wednesday, Letzte Generation members glued their hands to the tarmac at Germany’s Cologne-Bonn airport. Oil Kills said a further nine people blocked security gates at Helsinki airport in Finland, also causing disruption to passengers.

CrowdStrike is well-known in the cybersecurity industry, but until today, I don't think anyone was aware of its dominance as a platform on Windows. However, CrowdStrike might have evidence to suggest that this is a freak accident, so I don't think it's fair to point fingers too much. I don't think that's realistic. I don't think anyone really understood the true scope and presence of CrowdStrike before today. I don't think technology is intrinsically good or evil; it depends on how it's used and regulated.

European low-cost airline Wizz Air forecast a higher annual profit on Thursday on the back of a strong summer and robust travel demand, after swinging to an annual net profit after three years. Wizz Air reported a net profit of 365.9 million euros ($395.90 million) for the year ended March 31, compared with a net loss of 535 million euros a year earlier. That compares with a company-compiled consensus of a 350.8 million euros. The airline expects current year net income in the range of 500 million euros-600 million euros with revenue on each available seat kilometre up in high-single digits.

That updated 2023 profit guidance falls in line with Wall Street expectations of $3.10, according to Refinitiv consensus estimates. For the third quarter, American expects to earn an adjusted 85 cents to 95 cents per share, in line with estimates. Adjusting for one-time items, including costs associated with planes retired early in the pandemic, the company earned $1.37 billion, or $1.92 per share.
