CNN —Lance Armstrong experienced post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and used an intensive therapy approach in the years after he admitted taking performance-enhancing drugs, the former professional cyclist told “The Great Unlearn” podcast. “I went from hero to zero overnight,” the 52-year-old said on an episode of “The Great Unlearn” podcast released on Tuesday. “There was a mile-long list of lawsuits,” Armstrong told “The Great Unlearn” podcast. On “The Great Unlearn,” Armstrong said that he engaged in “couch therapy” in the years after his Oprah interview before deciding that he needed “something different and deeper” to cope with his PTSD. Other analysts recently estimated the number likely to make it to orbit is closer to 20,000. “Ten years ago, people thought that our founder was crazy for even talking about space debris,” Ron Lopez told CNN while strolling past the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC. The satellite, named “On Closer Inspection,” will observe the motions of a rocket stage that was left in low-Earth orbit in 2009. Astroscale’s mission will use cameras and sensors to study the rocket debris and figure out how to get it out of orbit.

Kaitlin Armstrong was found guilty of first-degree murder on Thursday in the death of Moriah Wilson, a professional cyclist who had briefly dated Ms. Armstrong’s boyfriend and was killed while visiting Austin, Texas, for a bike race 18 months ago. State District Judge Brenda Kennedy said that the jury delivered the guilty verdict against Ms. Armstrong after deliberating for about two hours. It was unclear when Ms. Armstrong would be sentenced. Rickey Jones, a state prosecutor, said in his opening statement that Ms. Armstrong was “not happy” that her boyfriend at the time, Colin Strickland, had been communicating with Ms. Wilson. A Facebook post (archived) sharing the claim reads, “Actually the first man on the moon was Neil Armstrong’s cameraman.”However, the image being shared actually shows Aldrin and was taken by Armstrong. A description of a similar NASA photo says the moment shows Aldrin descending the ladder to the moon’s surface while Armstrong photographed him on July 20, 1969. Astronaut Neil Armstrong was the first man on the moon and his descent was captured by a mounted camera. A picture on social media shows Buzz Aldrin, the second man to land on the moon, not Armstrong.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — A woman awaiting trial in the killing of professional cyclist Anna Moriah Wilson tried to run from officers escorting her to a doctor appointment Wednesday, authorities said. Two corrections officers had taken Kaitlin Armstrong to the appointment and were escorting her back to a patrol vehicle “when she ran," Travis County Sheriff spokeswoman Kristen Dark said. Armstrong ran more than a block into a neighborhood, but she could be seen by deputies the entire time before she was caught, Dark said. Armstrong and the two officers were taken to a hospital for a brief examination after the incident, and Armstrong was later returned to jail. Authorities have said Armstrong tried to change her appearance and used several aliases as she moved around Costa Rica while attempting to establish herself up as a yoga instructor in that country.

New York CNN —The Securities and Exchange Commission asked Coinbase to halt trading on all cryptocurrencies except for bitcoin before it sued the company in June, Coinbase’s chief executive told the Financial Times. The SEC’s request left Coinbase, America’s largest crypto exchange, with no choice but to take the matter to court, CEO Brian Armstrong said, because stopping those trades would have “essentially meant the end of the crypto industry in the US,” he said. “We really didn’t have a choice at that point,” Armstrong told the FT in an interview published Monday. Recounting discussions with the regulator before the lawsuit, Armstrong told the FT that Coinbase had requested clarity on how the SEC determined that every digital asset other than bitcoin is a security. The SEC disagrees, and has often said that most crypto offerings are securities that should face the same government regulations on Wall Street as stocks and bonds.

Hamilton (Armstrong) was a brilliant, funny, compassionate writer who struggled with mental-health and alcoholism,” Ashdown said in a statement to CNN. In 2004, Dooce became the first personal website to start accepting a notable number of paid ads, the New York Times said.
