While criminal charges against corporations are fairly common, the overwhelming majority are against small, closely-held companies. Earlier criminal settlement now at riskThe potential charges hanging over Boeing currently revolve around that January 2021 deferred prosecution agreement. They have argued Boeing should face new criminal charges and pay a fine as great as $24.9 billion. In May, the Justice Department said it was looking into bringing criminal charges against Boeing once again due to a potential violation of that January 2021 agreement. Arlen said it is common for smaller companies to be forced out of business by criminal charges and the penalties that follow.

The silver was Canada's first medal in women's beach volleyball at a Pan Am Games. A silver medal came with a bonus prize with every fighter in the finals having secured a quota spot for the Paris Olympics. In the women's 75-kilogram Canada's Tammara Thibeault added Pan Am gold to her world and Commonwealth Games titles with a unanimous 5-0 decision over Panama's Atheyna Bylon. "Out of all the tournaments I've been to, I've been able to capture gold and I was missing Pan Ams," said Thibeault. That contribution helped power Mexico into second place on the medal table with 35 gold and 80 total medals.

SANTIAGO, Chile (AP) — Once a sports superpower, Cuba now celebrates every gold medal at the Pan American Games. Heavyweight Julio César La Cruz beat Brazil's Keno Machado 4-1 in the final and became the first ever athlete of the sport to win a fourth Pan American gold medal. Dominican Yunior Alcántara reduced the deficit in the Caribbean bout with a gold medal that didn't make him sweat in the final. Cuba is the country with most medals for boxing in the history of the Pan American Games. But that position in Santiago was passed on to Brazil, with four gold medal winners.

A beachfront home in California’s Orange County is listing for $55 million, according to listing agent Arlen Raubach of Compass. The six-bedroom, roughly 9,630-square-foot home is located in a gated community in Dana Point, an affluent city roughly halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego, said Mr. Raubach. If it fetches its asking price, it would set a record for Dana Point, where the most expensive recorded sale to date was a $33 million deal last year, he said.

The White House said that even with Sinema's party change, it expects to keep working closely with her. A White House spokesperson did not respond when asked whether the White House received advance warning about her decision and whether Biden has spoken with her.
