BOSTON (AP) — Jayson Tatum shook off an illness to have 23 points and 11 rebounds, carrying the Boston Celtics over the Milwaukee Bucks 119-116 on Wednesday night in an early showdown of top Eastern Conference teams. The Bucks, who scored 130 points or more in their last three games, had a five-game winning streak halted. In late June, the Celtics acquired Porzingis in a blockbuster three-team deal that sent one of its longtime floor leaders, Marcus Smart, to Memphis. The Bucks later added Lillard on Sept. 27, months after he requested a trade out of Portland. INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Giannis Antetokounmpo scored an NBA season-high 54 points, but committed two turnovers after Tyrese Haliburton’s go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:29 left and the Indiana Pacers beat the Milwaukee Bucks 126-124 on Thursday night. Myles Turner added 21 points for the Pacers, who shot 48% from the field, including a 20-of-48 performance from 3-point range. Khris Middleton, who had 19 points and made a 3 at the final buzzer, missed a 3 that would have tied the game with 7 seconds left. Bruce Brown, who had 11 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, sealed the win with two foul shots of his own in the final seconds. Antetokounmpo scored 26 points in the first half, including 18 in the second quarter, and then 20 more in the third period.

CNN —Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo was ejected from Wednesday’s 120-118 win over the Detroit Pistons for “two unsportsmanlike technical fouls,” before the ‘Greek Freak’ gave some fans quite the unique experience. He had received the initial technical foul in the first quarter for using profanity towards the referees. “And he was ejected from the game, per rule, because two unsportsmanlike technical fouls, you are ejected from the game.”The official National Basketball Association (NBA) rulebook says: “If a player blatantly taunts an opponent, a technical foul shall be assessed. The ejection also drew headlines given the NBA’s recent commitment to ensuring its star players are on the court as much as possible. Before his ejection, Antetokounmpo contributed 15 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and three blocks.
