Mrs. Ume-Ezeoke already had a delicate lace robe to wear while getting ready for her July 2022 wedding, but she sent it to her sister anyway. Mrs. Ume-Ezeoke, a senior associate at a health care tech company, had three wedding ceremonies to celebrate her and her husband’s different cultures — Nigerian, Korean and American. An ornate robe felt right for getting ready with her bridal party for the American wedding. “I wanted to have this one moment of collective feminine energy and to pop champagne and be sexy,” Mrs. Ume-Ezeoke said. She’s not alone in wanting to bask in the getting ready aspect of the day.

The impeachment inquiry comes at a fragile political moment for the president. An impeachment inquiry would give Republicans broad new powers to request documents and testimony about the Bidens. For now, the White House views the situation from a communications standpoint rather than as a legal issue. “Kevin McCarthy, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and MAGA Republicans just launched a beyond ridiculous impeachment inquiry into President Biden,” the fundraising email reads. An element of the White House strategy is keeping him focused on his governing duties, including plans to deliver what the White House has billed as a “major economic address” in Maryland on Thursday.

(Reuters) - A federal appeals court on Tuesday revived a lawsuit against Royal Caribbean Cruises by the parents of an 18-month-old girl who died after slipping through her grandfather’s hands and falling through an open cruise ship window. Royal Caribbean and its lawyers did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Jacqueline Garcell, a lawyer for the parents, faulted Royal Caribbean for refusing to install devices that many large hotel chains also use to prevent falls. “We look forward to continuing our fight for justice for Chloe Wiegand and to make cruise ships safer,” she said. The case is Wiegand et al v Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd, 11th U.S.

The Beijing address is listed in Australian company filings for the pilot and a U.S. blacklisting for the Chinese businessman, however, it was unclear whether they used the Beijing address at the same time. Another aviation source said Duggan went to Beijing to work with Stephen Su, also known as Su Bin in China. When Reuters visited the Beijing address this week the reporter was told it was a residential building and denied entry. Under Australia's extradition treaty with the United States, an extradition request must be made within 60 days of arrest. Robert Anello, the lawyer who represented Su Bin in the 2014 hacking case, declined to comment and Su Bin could not be reached for comment.
