Eating protein at breakfast can prevent overeating later on in the day to compensate for missed energy, she said. The average Western diet contains enough protein, Pigott said, but we tend to have only one high-protein meal toward the end of the day, meaning our intake is not spread evenly. Pigott shared three easy, balanced breakfast recipes that she always has on hand. She scrambles two eggs with a few teaspoons of milk, which gives her about 13 grams of protein, she said.

CNN —The indie supergroup boygenius released a charity single on Friday, paying tribute to Sinéad O’Connor, the Irish singer-songwriter who died in July at age 56. Boygenius collaborated with Irish folk duo Ye Vagabonds to produce a cover of the popular folk song “The Parting Glass,” with the proceeds going to the Aisling Project – a Dublin-based charity chosen by O’Connor’s estate, which provides after-school activities, support and meals for disadvantaged children and young people. “We are absolutely thrilled that boygenius have chosen to give proceeds from the release to Aisling Project,” Project Leader Mícheál Clear told CNN. “It’s an absolute privilege to be associated with the stunningly beautiful homage to Sinéad O’Connor and we can’t possibly thank boygenius enough.”Sinéad O'Connor performs in Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1988. CNN —Following the announcement of Sinéad O’Connor’s death aged 56 Wednesday, her life and music with all their complexities and convulsions have been put back into the spotlight. At first, the act drew widespread condemnation, but in subsequent years this eventually gave way to admiration as the Catholic Church acknowledged and apologized for the sexual abuse perpetrated by members of the clergy, often toward children. Ripping up that photo of the pope defined her career in a “beautiful f**king way,” she told the Guardian in 2021. Joe Pesci hosted the show the following week and in his opening monologue said that O’Connor “was very lucky it wasn’t my show. As the years passed, however, the public’s stance toward O’Connor softened as sexual abuse by members of the clergy became a matter of record.
