The pier was “damaged and sections of the pier need rebuilding and repairing,” Pentagon deputy press secretary Sabrina Singh said on Tuesday. She was named after the Disney princess because her extra back legs were partly fused together, resembling a mermaid’s tail. CNN —Disney will acquire Comcast’s one-third stake in Hulu for an expected $8.61 billion, the company said Wednesday, in a deal that will put the streaming service entirely inside the Magic Kingdom when the transaction closes later this year. “The acquisition of Comcast’s stake in Hulu at fair market value will further Disney’s streaming objectives,” the company said in a short statement. Disney’s bid to acquire the remaining shares in the platform began in 2019 under an agreement between the two companies that gave Hulu a value of at least $27.5 billion. In 2020, NBCU launched its own subscription-based streaming platform, Peacock, and Comcast began shifting programming from Hulu onto the new platform, including Bravo and NBC shows. “They tend to close in these neighborhoods regardless of whether or not there is another pharmacy nearby,” Qato said. Closings can create so-called “pharmacy deserts,” or neighborhoods without easy access to a drugstore. “It’ll kind of worsen the problem of pharmacy deserts and disparities in pharmacy access,” Qato said. She noted that patients who lose drugstore access are less likely to stay on their regular prescriptions, and that can affect their health. Jonas said drugstores do want to help with pharmacy access, but the economics still need to work for these companies.

But officials have made clear recently that other forms of US aid are potentially in jeopardy if Ukraine does not do more to address corruption. New York CNN —Shares of Rite Aid were slightly lower Monday after soaring more than 20% higher in morning trading. The steep swings come after Rite Aid saw its price of shares tumble Friday amid reports that the drug store chain was preparing to file for bankruptcy. Shares of Rite Aid (RAD) are down more than 91% since this time last year. Friday’s plunge came after The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg reported that Rite Aid was preparing to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Rite Aid is currently about $3.3 billion in debt and has been embroiled in a legal battle for allegedly filling unlawful opioid prescriptions.

Aug 25 (Reuters) - Rite Aid Corp (RAD.N) is preparing to file for bankruptcy in coming weeks to address lawsuits the company is facing over its alleged role in the sale of opioids, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday, citing people familiar with the plan. Rite Aid did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment. Regionally focused Rite Aid operates more than 2,330 stores in 17 U.S. states, although it is much smaller than rivals like Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA.O) and CVS Health (CVS.N). Along with other pharmacy chains, Rite Aid has been named a defendant in lawsuits that alleged they helped fuel the opioid crisis in the United States.
