The Tennessee Titans are finalizing a deal to acquire cornerback L'Jarius Sneed from the Kansas City Chiefs for a pair of draft picks, a person familiar with the negotiations told The Associated Press on Friday night. Kansas City was unable to come to terms on a long-term deal, leading to this trade. Under terms of the deal, Tennessee would send its third-round pick in the 2025 draft and also flip seventh-round selections with the Chiefs in the draft next month. The 27-year-old Sneed has developed into one of the top cornerbacks in the league since being drafted in the fourth round in 2020. The Titans signed Cincinnati cornerback Chidobe Awuzie to a three-year deal for $36 million with $23 million guaranteed to help kick off free agency.

A franchise tag this year would have cost the team $12.2 million if Barkley accepted the offer. The 25-year old Huff spent the last four seasons with the New York Jets. LAS VEGAS (AP) — New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers said his goal is to return from a torn Achilles tendon by mid-December, NBC's Melissa Stark reported during the telecast of the Jets' game at Las Vegas on Sunday night. Rodgers had hinted recently he hopes to return before the end of the season, but this is the most specific he has been. He suffered what was thought to be a season-ending injury in the opener against the Buffalo Bills. However, Rodgers, who was on the sideline, told Stark he “just wasn’t feeling it” about throwing passes during pregame warmups as he has the last several weeks. Rodgers said he has been working on a weight-limiting treadmill, jogging at 50% of his body weight.

The Minnesota Vikings and the Las Vegas Raiders are proof that major midseason upheaval doesn't necessarily mean it's time to start aiming for the draft instead of the playoffs. I know what it was like to learn this in three weeks and have to get on the field," Risner said. “I know a lot of nicknames per se, but name names, that’s for this week, that’s the assignment for this week," he said. The Raiders became the first team since 2009 to score fewer than 20 points on offense in each of the first eight games of the season. “So if that’s the case," Gronkowski said, "I think Josh McDaniels comes back as offensive coordinator in New England, that’s for sure.”There'd be no Brady waiting for him this time.

HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) — When the Las Vegas Raiders hired Josh McDaniels in January 2022, he said he had learned from his first stint as an NFL head coach. The Raiders under McDaniels went 6-11 in 2022 and are 3-5 so far this season for a .360 winning percentage. The one game Las Vegas reached that figure came because of a fourth-quarter safety in a 21-17 victory over the Patriots on Oct. 15. The Raiders lost a record-tying five games after taking double-digit leads, including blowing a 20-0 halftime lead in his home debut against Arizona for the biggest collapse in franchise history.
