In an apparent reference to the manner in which some Russian politicians and businessmen have died in recent years, former CIA Director David Petraeus warned the owner of Russian paramilitary group Wagner to "stay away from open windows."
“He kept his life but lost his Wagner group,” Petraeus said Sunday on CNN of the mercenary group's chief Yevgeny Prigozhin, who on Saturday halted his march to Moscow and accepted exile in Belarus, a country whose leader is useful to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“He should be very careful around open windows in his new surroundings, in Belarus, where he's going,” Petraeus said.
