A resistance movement was born in the wake of Donald Trump’s 2016 victory, sending thousands of people into the streets wearing pink hats and signs with punchy slogans.
“I think that folks are very angry and are going to be turning out,” Rachel O’Leary Carmona, the executive director of Women’s March, told NBC News.
“We have a heavy focus on absorption,” O’Leary Carmona said.
“It’s also not enough to dust off the 2016 ‘resistance’ playbook.
We can’t fold like picnic chairs because we fielded a loss,” O’Leary Carmona said.
