For decades, America has followed Oprah through every major weight loss trend, and this was no exception. CNN —Regulators in Israel are aware of and reviewing research that suggests some unknown traders may have had advance knowledge of the October 7th Hamas attacks. “This subject is known and is being thoroughly checked,” Sivan Carmon, a spokesperson for the Israel Securities Authority, told CNN in a statement on Tuesday. The ISA, the Israeli equivalent of the US Securities and Exchange Commission, is charged with fighting securities fraud, insider trading and other market abuse. Experts urged regulators to investigate the matter, including by looking at nonpublic market data that researchers did not have access to. “Of course, that’s quite different from trading based on inside knowledge of terrorist attacks,” Whitehead said.

DETROIT (AP) — A judge overseeing the estate of Aretha Franklin awarded real estate to the late star's sons, citing a handwritten will from 2014 that was found between couch cushions. The papers will override a handwritten will from 2010 that was found at Franklin's suburban Detroit home around the same time in 2019, the judge said. One of her sons, Kecalf Franklin, will get that property, which was valued at $1.1 million in 2018, but is now worth more. The discovery of the two handwritten wills months after her death led to a dispute between the sons over what their mother wanted to do with her real estate and other assets. One of the properties, worth more than $1 million, will likely be sold and the proceeds shared by four sons.

Two years later, Congress put such a law in place, prohibiting people facing domestic violence restraining orders from having guns. Gun rights organizations are supporting Zackey Rahimi, the Texas man whose challenge to the law led to the Supreme Court case. A gun, though, is more than just a potential source of violence, Glenn said, recalling how her husband threatened her and her then-teenage son, David, repeatedly. Rahimi’s case reached the Supreme Court after prosecutors appealed a ruling that threw out his conviction for possessing guns while subject to a restraining order. The court's decision in the Rahimi case could have widespread ripple effects, including in the high-profile prosecution of Hunter Biden.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Charles and Kathleen Moore are about to have their day in the Supreme Court over a $15,000 tax bill they contend is unconstitutional. "If you haven’t received any income, how can you be required to pay income taxes?” Charles Moore asks in a video posted by the Competitive Enterprise Institute. But far from being a passive investor with no influence over the company, Moore, who worked at Microsoft during his career in software development, served on KisanKraft's board of directors for five years. One other inconsistency is that while the Moores say they jointly invested the money, only Charles Moore's name appears in company documents. Rosenthal said that “the ugly facts matter” and that the justices could return the Moores' case to a lower court without ruling on it.

Michelle Lujan Grisham's emergency order suspending the right to carry firearms in public in and around Albuquerque drew an immediate court challenge from a gun-rights group Saturday, as legal scholars and advocates said they expected. The governor, a Democrat, said the 30-day suspension, enacted as an emergency public health measure, would apply in most public places, from city sidewalks to parks. The top Republican in the New Mexico Senate, Greg Baca of Belen, also denounced Lujan Grisham’s order as an infringement on the gun rights of law-abiding citizens. In conclusion, they argue,It is important to recognize that Trump was no puppet master and that his followers were far more than puppets. Instead, he was the unifier, activator, and enabler of his followers during the dark events of Jan. 6, 2021. It remains unknown whether Trump will be charged in connection with his refusal to abide by all of the legal requirements of democratic electoral competition.

With these varied interests, Charles is the most culturally attuned monarch for well over a century. In the 17th century, Charles I, a patron of painters including Rubens and Van Dyck, built one of Europe’s most important art collections. But where previous monarchs were known for their passions, Charles has often been defined by the things he doesn’t like. In a phone interview, O’Regan said that once you “delved into Charles’s likes and dislikes,” a picture emerged of a man whose interests were “obviously nuanced.”“He’s someone who is clearly very affected by music and other arts,” O’Regan said. “I remember being so completely transfixed by the magic of it,” Charles said during a 2018 radio interview.
