Wells Fargo paid back $40 million to almost 11,000 customers who for years were overcharged on fees for investment advice, the Securities and Exchange Commission said Friday. Wells Fargo neither admitted nor denied the allegations, the agency said. However, internal systems failed to account for those reduced advisory fees in some cases, the SEC said. (AG Edwards and Wachovia merged in 2007; Wells Fargo and Wachovia then did so in 2008.) Caroline Szyperski, a spokesperson for Wells Fargo, said the firm is "pleased to resolve this matter."

Twitter became X last month, but major brands have been slow to adopt the new logo. It's been almost a month since Twitter rebranded to X, but most major brands haven't scrubbed the blue bird logo from their marketing yet. Other giant corporations like General Motors, American Express, Amazon, Comcast, and L'Oreal have continued to carry the old Twitter logo on their websites. X released a new brand toolkit with logo templates and other marketing assets for marketers to use earlier this month. Musk changed the company name of Twitter to X Corp. earlier this year and replaced Twitter's branding on July 24 .

She enrolled in a 10-day semiconductor training course and landed a new job at Intel soon after. A few weeks later, she told Insider, she received an email about the "Quick Start" program — a 10-day crash course on how to be a semiconductor processing technician. The Quick Start program's website says that semiconductor companies will hire over 20,000 workers in Arizona in the coming years. Of 240 former Quick Start students who filled out an employment outcome form as of June 30th, 75, or 31%, said they had been "hired in field," per MCCC. "I start work at 5:45 AM, and I get off at 6:15 PM," she said.

A German nonprofit and a student group say they reported six anti-Semitic tweets to Twitter. But Twitter said three of those didn't violate its terms of service, The Guardian reported. Twitter said it blocked those tweets, but only after being notified about legal action in June. Twitter is facing legal action from a nonprofit and a Jewish student group who are accusing it of failing to remove anti-Semitic tweets, The Guardian reported. In his first two weeks at the helm of the company, the number of anti-Semitic posts soared over 61%, The New York Times reported.
