Do designers really expect us to wear those outlandish looks they show on the runway? I look at the images and can’t imagine anyone walking down a street in most of those clothes, no matter where they lived. — Mary, Auckland, New ZealandThis is one of those questions I have been asked pretty much every season since I started covering the runway shows. Hundreds of individuals were accused of witchcraft in what would become the Commonwealth of Massachusetts between 1638 and 1693. Jessica Lange, Jim Parsons and Celia Keenan-Bolger will return to Broadway next spring to star in a new family drama by the acclaimed playwright Paula Vogel. The show, called “Mother Play,” begins outside Washington in 1962, and is about a strong-willed mother raising two children as the family relocates. Lange, 74, will play the mother. She is a two-time Oscar winner (for “Tootsie” and “Blue Sky”) who won a Tony Award in 2016 for playing another difficult mother — Mary Tyrone in a revival of “Long Day’s Journey Into Night.”Keenan-Bolger, 45, is a four-time Tony nominee who won the prize in 2019 for “To Kill a Mockingbird”; she will play the daughter. For years, the European Union has funded the Libyan Coast Guard in an effort to stop migrants and refugees arriving on its shores. But those returned to Libya can face abuse and torture in detention camps run by the militias. The fighting began when members of the Special Deterrence Force, which oversees some prisons in Tripoli, arrested Col. Mahmoud Hamza , leader of the 444 Brigade. The deterrence force said that Colonel Hamza was wanted but did not publicly say why. The tensions in Tripoli could be seen by other militias as an opportunity to try to establish a foothold in the capital.

I feel great when working out and love yoga pants. But as the return to work has picked up at least some steam, so has the debate about the actual “pants-ness” of yoga pants. This is in part why they are sometimes known as “boot-cut leggings” or “flared leggings” instead of “yoga pants.” By borrowing the language of pants, they edge closer to that category. But let’s be honest: Yoga pants are not pants. Yoga pants, on the other hand, are much more about revealing the body in some of its glory.
