Miraculously, by a feat of military technology bolstered by coordination with friends and allies, Israel was able to repel the massive attack. The Quds Force commanders have been working with Iran-allied Hezbollah, which has been shelling Israel since Oct. 7, when Hamas launched an attack from Gaza. What if Iran’s missiles and drones had carried nuclear material? In addition, the US was able to work out of its bases in Qatar and northern Iraq to counter Iran’s attack. The Iranian attack has revealed that Israel does have friends, including some in very important places: across the Middle East.

NEW YORK (AP) — Cruise, the autonomous vehicle unit owned by General Motors, is suspending driverless operations nationwide days after regulators in California found that its driverless cars posed a danger to public safety. The choice to suspend its driverless services isn't related to any new on-road incidents, Cruise added. The pedestrian became pinned under a tire of the Cruise vehicle after it came to a stop. Three rear-end collisions that reportedly took place after Cruise AVs braked hard kicked off the investigation. “We welcome NHTSA’s questions related to our safety record and operations," Cruise spokesperson Hannah Lindow said in a statement sent to The Associated Press Friday.

AdvertisementAdvertisementI love cruises as a vacation option with an affordable fixed price, and my Virgin Voyages cruise was great. Vacations often come with surprise expenses — cruises are a great value and make it easy to know exactly how much you'll spend in advance, and my Virgin Voyages cruise was a great value. While the cruise ship itself offered plenty to see and do, I thought the four included stops were some of the best I have ever visited on a cruise. Finally, we loved the inclusiveness the Virgin Voyages brand builds into their cruise product, which helped make the cruise more carefree and fun. Now all I have to do is start planning how we'll spend days in port on our next Virgin Voyages cruise in February.

If you're planning to travel this year, travel insurance can help protect the cost of your trip. Travel insurance is non-negotiable for me, but I believe it's also important for the average vacationer. Travel insurance is often overlooked in the excitement of planning travel, but forgetting travel insurance can be costly. You won't realize how important travel insurance is until you need to use it in an emergency. Unless you've purchased specific coverage, travel insurance generally won't cover canceling a trip due to fear of travel or changing your mind.
