Loneliness, Dr. Murthy explained, is a mental phenomenon. Isolation, by contrast, is a physical experience, arising when we are prevented, as during the pandemic, from being in the actual presence of family and friends. Either form of solitude, physical or mental, can increase the risk of everything from cardiovascular disease to diabetes to depression. And, Dr. Murthy says, we are facing an epidemic.

CNN —Brice Marden, the abstract painter known most widely for his long, winding calligraphic mark-making that stood out against monochromatic backgrounds, has died aged 84. His death was confirmed to CNN by Gagosian, the New York gallery that represented him, via email on Thursday. "Uphill with Center" (2012-15) by Brice Marden. It’s just been an extra thing to think about.”Marden was born October 15, 1938 in Westchester County, just north of New York City. "Cold Mountain 6 (Bridge)" (1989-91) by Brice Marden.

În decembrie 2020, creaţia sa "Rubik Space" a fost vândută cu 492.600 de euro (taxe incluse), stabilind un nou record mondial pentru o operă de artă realizată de acest artist care foloseşte cuburi Rubik, detronând o altă lucrare a lui, "Rubik Mona Lisa", care fusese adjudecată contra sumei de 480.200 de euro în februarie 2020.Din 2004, Invader a abordat o altă direcţie artistică odată cu apariţia "Rubikubismului", un curent dedicat lucrărilor realizate din cuburi Rubik, obiecte emblematice ale anilor '80. "Rubik Dalai-Lama", creată în 2008, se doreşte un omagiu adus spiritualităţii budiste.
